Learning outcomes

The student, at the end of the course acquires knowledge about healthy lifestyles and values that must be transmitted to the citizens to prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease and certain cancers.

Course contents

Lifestyle and cardiovascular health. Nutrients. Dietetic regimes. Recommendations for the prevention of chronic diseases. Nutritional management of chronic kidney disease.

To get an overview, the electronic book “Manuale di Alimentazione per Professionisti Sanitari. Arianna Corbu. Collana EbookECM. 2017”, is highly suggested.

Teaching methods

The course consist of 1 CFU (in person teaching).

Assessment methods

The learning assessment focuses on a written test, with 10 multiple-choice questions. The ENT test will be considered passed if the student answers at least 6 questions correctly. The result of this test will then be combined with that of the other courses of the integrated course and the exam will be passed if at least all the individual tests are sufficient.
