Learning outcomes
The seminars are designed to introduce students to some specialized aspects of the training. The seminars are related to the deepening of advanced topics, in particular taught by specialists or professionals of some disciplines of the learning activities. The seminars will deal with the themes connected with the areas of learning: computer science; literary, linguistic, historical/cultural and related to the arts in the digital context; transversal: economics, law and communication.
Course contents
The seminar series, delivered by professionals specializing in the different topics, will focus on the following themes:
- New technologies and research on texts and documents – The study of manuscripts, archives, libraries, and authors’ papers, supported by digital tools for their analysis and preservation.

Sources and historical, philosophical, and linguistic analysis – The use of sources to better understand history, thought, and the languages of the past.

Artifacts and material objects – Research on musical heritage, works of art, artifacts, and productions related to the visual and performing arts.

Monuments, architecture, and historical landscapes – The study and protection of buildings, sites, and settings that tell the story of a territory.
- Technologies for the enhancement of cultural heritage – Digital and innovative tools to promote, protect, and make cultural heritage accessible to the public.

Assessment methods
Students will be expected to prepare a report that explores two or more of the themes covered in the seminar series.
