Learning outcomes
To understand and test the main measurement methods for mass and
momentum transfer coefficients. To test some basic chemical
engineering processes.
Course contents
Viscosity measurements; head-capacity curve of a centrifugal pump;
regulation valves; friction loss measurements. Measurement of mass
transfer coefficient gas-liquid; diffusion coefficients in liquid
and gaseous phases; ultrafiltration modules.
Teaching methods
Direct experiments carried on by students under the guide of
teaching and technical staff
Assessment methods
Oral exam where a written relation prepared by a group of students
is discussed and explained.
