Learning outcomes
The student will study the main classical sociological theories relevant for the developement of a sociological view of the law. He can also understand in a sociological and economical perspective the main problems of the Italian job market, and the significant changes that occurred in the last decades.
Course contents
The first part of the course will deal with the main legal, philosophical and sociological movements which gave a major contribution to the developement of a sociological view of the law, to the foundation and develeopement of legal sociology itself, and to the main methodologies used in the empirical research.
The second part of the course will deal with some of the most important sociological aspects of the Italian job market, live unemployment, women emplyoment, immigrants' employment, and so on.

Teaching methods
The lectures will either cover course contents or will consist in the reading and commenting of a text related to those contents.
Assessment methods
Student performance will be assessed through a final oral exam.
Students registering for the exam must so do using the University's computer network Almaesami.
