Associate Professor of philosophy of law, she obtained a PhD in "Constitutional Justice and Fundamental Rights" from The University of Pisa. Before joining the University of Bologna, she was a "Ramon y Cajal" Researcher at the Law Department of the Pompeu Fabra University and a "Max Weber Fellow" at the European University Institute, under international research fellowships.
Her research interests lie in the philosophical foundations of constitutionalism and judicial review, legal reasoning, deliberative democracy, social rights, constituent power.
She is an assistant editor of Ratio Juris: An International Journal of Jurisprudence and Philosophy of Law (Oxford: Wiley), Associate Editor of Jus Cogens. A Critical Journal of Philosophy of Law and Politics (Dordrecht: Springer).
Collaborates with the Constitutional Theory Network, the Law & Philosophy Research Group (Pompeu Fabra University), the Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy, the NOVA Argumentation Centre of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the European Academy of Legal Theory, the EALT International LLM in Legal Theory.
