Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student: a) knows the methodologies applied in scientific knowledge; b) is capable to puropose and to realize scientific researches; c) knows and use in a critical way the measures useful in psychology.

Course contents

The course is divided in two parts:

1st part:

- Epistemology in scientific research

- Measure in Psychology

- Validity in scientific research

2nd Part:

- Comparison between descriptive and inferential hypothesis

- Comparison among different types of sample tecniques

- Comparison among different statistical models

Written test aimed to verify the knowledge about the topics of the course and the critical competences in applying methods in psychological research. Oral examination: optional.
