Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the students will have acquired the principles of clinical and experimental research in the surgical field, in particular in surgical oncology. The course will define the general principles of setting up a database suitable for the collection of follow-up data and the methodology for using the data with scientific purposes.

Scientific methodology applied to the clinical and surgical field.

Discussion of the main approaches to the scientific method in the field of basic, translational and clinical research.
