Training as a driver of growth and shared value

A strategic investment for the university community

For the University of Bologna, staff training is both an opportunity for professional development and a strategic cultural investment. Through training, the University supports the growth of skills, the continuous renewal of knowledge, and the strengthening of its identity as a community of people who learn, cooperate and innovate, contributing to the social, economic and cultural development of the country.

A broad and diversified range of training opportunities

The University’s commitment to internal training takes shape in a wide and varied range of opportunities offered throughout the year, covering both technical and professional skills and transversal and relational competences. The aim is to build a working environment capable of evolving, valuing people and fostering dialogue across experiences, skills and roles.

Innovative approaches to learning and reflection

Alongside traditional courses, the University is exploring alternative and innovative learning formats: inspirational talks, theatre performances, docufilms and training events encouraging exchange with external experiences. Different tools, one shared purpose: to stimulate reflective learning that nurtures curiosity, awareness, openness to change and active participation.

Training events

This is the context of the “Persone, Lavoro, Territorio” (People, Work, Territory) series, held from December 2025 to February 2026 and dedicated to University staff. Through concrete stories of organisations and individuals who have interpreted the relationship between individuals, the community and the common good in an original and responsible way, these events offer opportunities to reflect on how organisations can reconcile diverse interests and generate public value.

Among the training and discussion formats open to the public is the “Giornata della Trasparenza” (Transparency Day), an annual event organised under Legislative Decree 33/2013, aimed not only at staff but also at external stakeholders: citizens, institutions and local interest groups.
