Mission

The division’s mission is to support official research process oversight and funding and to promote access to competitive research and innovation programmes with regard to University funding and at the regional, national, and international level. Furthermore, the division ensures professional, administrative, and organisational support to the University’s organisational entities with regard to research funding, working in collaboration and coordination with other relevant divisions.

Main activities

• Managing activities related to competitive research and innovation programmes at the University, regional, national, European, and international level, while promoting related opportunities.
• Organising processes and supporting participation in funding programmes for the Bologna University community.
• Supporting project implementation and the audit processes carried out by funding bodies.
• Liaising with the University’s organisational entities to coordinate and develop research activities.
• Overseeing strategic research partnerships and the University’s participation in networks and associations of strategic interest at the national and international level.
• Supporting the management of institutional relations for research at the regional, national, and international level.
• Supporting the University's strategies in relation to research equipment and infrastructure.
• Supporting the University’s strategic objectives regarding research data and its correct management throughout the research process.
• Monitoring cross-cutting lines of action relevant to research.
