University Press Office
The Press Office of the University of Bologna is the main point of contact between the University and the media. It oversees relations with local, national, and international media, providing transparent and timely communication on the University’s activities. The Press Office also manages the University’s online news outlet, “Unibo Magazine”.

What we do
The Press Office ensures clear and effective communication, in line with the guidelines of the Rector and the University’s governing bodies.
Main activities:
- Coordination of institutional communication towards the media, in liaison with the Rectorate and the General Directorate.
- Drafting and dissemination of press releases at local, national, and international level.
- Organisation of press conferences and daily management of relations with journalists and media outlets.
- Editorial coordination and management of Unibo Magazine, the University of Bologna’s online news outlet.
- Relations with public and private organisations and with major actors in the information sector.
- Collaboration with the University Campuses (Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna, Rimini), Departments, and administrative offices to highlight initiatives and projects across the University.
- Joint management with the Romagna Press Office of communication activities related to the Romagna Campuses.
- Preparation of the University’s press review.
- Coordination with the University’s Communication and Social Media Editorial Team.
When to contact the Press Office
Journalists can contact the Press Office for further information on issued press releases and related materials (photos, videos, multimedia), and to request in-depth interviews with members of the University governance or with other experts from the University of Bologna.
Academic and professional staff of the University can contact the Press Office to coordinate the publication of press releases about projects and initiatives (including those carried out with external partners), and to organise press conferences in line with the University’s communication strategy.
