Programme profile

The first cycle degree programme in Land and Agro-Forestry Sciences sets out to train professionals with in-depth knowledge of Geopedology, Cartography, Agricultural Chemistry, Land Appraisal, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Hydraulics, Agro-Foresty Mechanics and Mechanisation, Entomology and Agricultural and Forestry Pathology, Territorial Planning.

Graduates will be familiar with the biotic and abiotic factors governing the processes of agricultural and forestry production systems and their impact on the environment.

The first cycle degree programme in Land and Agro-Forestry Sciences sets out to provide the competences required to constructively tackle the emerging problems in the protection, enhancement and planning of agro-forestry areas, linked to the phenomena of hydrogeological disruption, erosion, stability and stabilisation of mountain slopes, pollution and impoverishment of soil fertility, also in relation to agro-forestry activities. The programme also provides skills in the planning and management of agro-forestry interventions, the description and representation of the structural and infrastructural components of agro-forestry areas and in the assessment of agro-territorial resources.

In the Land and Agro-forestry Sciences degree programme 60 credits from core curriculum subject areas are included also in other degree programmes of the Bologna campus (class L-25). In addition, the degree programme course units are in line with the guidelines of the “teaching coordination board” for environmental and forestry sciences promoted by the Director of the Faculty of Agriculture.
