Learning outcomes

The Internship 3, after the insertion occurred in Internship 1 of the student in the clinical practice of a dental structure and deepening in the Internship 2, the tools required for participation as a member of the dental team, provides students with the skills tecnoco-professional make it ready for a working reality in an organized structure. In particular, the student is able to: - attend a dental department an active part, - apply the knowledge gained in patients with temporary and permanent disability - relate to patients who belong to the department and follow with regard to the powers of 'dental hygienist in full independence of judgment.

OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING III YEAR I SEMESTER
1. the student learns about the oral ecosystem changes in the patient stably and / or transiently disabled in relation to different pathological situations and consistently modular programs and interventions of oral hygiene.

OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING III YEAR II SEMESTER
1. The student acquires skills education and prevention in response to priority health problems of the population in the pediatric, adult and geriatric interventions to promote health education to the community (schools, houses of shelter, health units, workplaces in general, etc..).

Content of the discipline:

• Means of communication: the information given to the different communities.
• Promotion of health (cardiovascular disease, smoking, etc..).
• Epidemiology and prevention.
• Purposes of prevention.
• Levels of prevention.
• Screening.
• Organization of health education interventions.
• Prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (Work Related Syndrome - WRS).

2. the student learns to orientate respect for the legal profession, relationships with public and private entities, the development of organizational protocols of operations in relation to the various objectives, analysis of work and the overall management of the occupation.

• The legal framework of the professional (ethical and deontological aspects of the profession);
• Ergonomic analysis of work;
• Overall management of the profession;
