Course contents

Pharmaceutical Botany, University degree in Herbalist techniques.

Pharmaceutical Botany's definition and objets.

Historical development of medical plant's use.

Differences between plants and animals. The plant's usefulness to human beings. Plants as a source of substances of pharmaceutical interest.

Systematic: definition and objects. Classification criteria of the vegetable domain.

Algae: general remarks about structure, ecophysiology and antropopharmaceutical importance. Systematic: Cyanothyta , Rhodophyta, Phaeophyta, Chlorophyta.

Fungi : general remarks, ecophysiology and pharmaceutical importance.

Lichens: general remarks about their structure, reproduction and classification. Lichens with commercial and industrial interest.

Bryophyta: general remarks.

Pteridophyta: general remarks about structures, reproduction et classification . Plants of pharmaceutical interest.

Gymnospermophyta : general remarks about structures, reproduction et classification . Plants of pharmaceutical interest.

Angiospermophytha: General remarks about the reproduction, floral morphologies, fruit and seeds morphologies.
