- Course overview
- The Summer School is aimed at developing and enhancing the knowledge of master’s and PhD students concerning the spatial, historical and socio-political connections between colonialism, migration and trauma, as well as the colonial legacy in terms of the production and circulation of “dissonant memories”. These competences will be complemented by strong interdisciplinary skills in geography, anthropology and the history of political thought, to foster a critical, multidisciplinary and postcolonial understanding of the historical, cultural and territorial processes that have intensified the connections between different geographical, historical and cultural areas as a result of imperialism and colonialism and, later, of globalisation. Participants will take part in group work and refine their public speaking and presentation skills.
