- Course overview
- Industry 4.0 uses intelligent sensors and control systems to allow real-time optimization of manufacturing and supply chain networks. In this scenario, the proper management of the huge amount of data, referred to as Big Data, represents a challenge from the business point-of-view. The summer school will provide an effective multidisciplinary learning environment through the Open Innovation Lab (OIL) concept already in place in the area of Bologna (http://www.oilab.it/home-en/). Participants, university, and companies will interact in an inclusive, dynamic and multidisciplinary environment toward the advancement of the whole Industry 4.0 ecosystem. Meetings with the entrepreneurial local community will be arranged to foster exchange and generate new business ideas. During the summer school, participants will also improve their soft skills: user-centric service design, business plan and lean approach, pitch preparation and attention to details, creativity in innovation.
