- Professional Profile
- Pursuant to Decree no. 270 of 22 October 2004 of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, for the academic year 2026-2027, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, with Bologna as the administrative seat, will run a first-level professional master's programme in “Global Master in Business Administration”.
The professional master programme is activated at the proposal of the Department of Management – DISA and in cooperation with the Bologna University Business School Foundation.
The professional master's programme aims to: train participants to be capable of taking on managerial roles within corporate functions or competing for executive positions at the international level. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to master the dynamics of each sector.
The program offers the following five concentrations:
1. AI and Manufacturing
2. Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods
3. Food and Wine
4. Supercars, Superbikes and Motorsports
5. Sustainability and Innovation - Note
- - Students with a civil disability certificate: A number of 1 place is envisaged, even if the exceed the maximum number of available positions, for candidates who are deemed eligible through the selection process. These places include an exemption from tuition fees, net of fixed charges and the application fee.

- Auditors: There are auditors in a proportion of no more than 20 % of those enrolled, in accordance with art. 10 of the call for applications.
Interested persons must indicate their willingness directly to the professional master programme Administration Office by the enrolment deadline. Acceptance of the request will be communicated by 1/09/2026.
If not, all auditor places are filled by the above deadline, the Director reserves the right to also assess applications received later, until the available places are filled and, in any case, no later than the beginning of the lessons.

- The program is reserved for candidates who, by the time of enrolment (30/03/2026 for round 1; 11/05/2026 for round 2; 1/07/2026 for round 3, 27/08/2026 for round 4) are in possession of the following qualifications and access requirements:
• All types of first-cycle degree or second/single-cycle degree obtained under D.M. 270/04 or first-cycle, second-cycle, or single-cycle degrees obtained under the laws previously in force (DM 509/99 and Old Regulations).
• First cycle degree or second/single cycle degree obtained abroad, deemed equivalent to those described in the point above by the admission committee, for the purposes of admission to the Master. - Linguistic skills
- • Sound Knowledge of the English language (B2 level)
• Three years of cumulative work experience, obtained before the program starting day. - Other requirements
- The required documents for the selection process are listed in the procedural instructions (double-sided copy of a valid identity document; academic qualification and transcript of records) and must be submitted with the specific documents listed below:
1) Application Form listing the candidate’s chosen concentration;
2) Conditional Enrolment Form;
3) Curriculum Vitae (in English);
4) Motivation Letter (in English);
5) English Language Proficiency certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, or others) certifying a minimum English level of B2 in the European framework. Candidates who do not possess this certificate will have to take a written test to assess their language skills;
6) One Reference Letter from an employer (in English) – further letters optional;
7) A photo of the candidate for identity recognition purposes;
8) If available, GMAT or GRE certificate, with a score of 600 or above (GMAT) or equivalent (GRE). Candidates without this certificate will have to take a written aptitude test;
9) Self-certification of employment or self-employment to confirm the required three years of experience. The certification must state: employer or employers (if applicable), job or jobs performed, and duration of employment.
Candidates with a degree obtained abroad who pass the selection procedures must show the original hard copies of documents to the Master’s Office, in accordance with what is stated in the Conditional Enrollment Form. - Selection criteria
- Admission to the Master’s Program is subject to the successful completion of the online selection process, which includes an evaluation of qualifications, an aptitude written test, an English language test, and a motivational interview. The maximum score assignable by the Selection Committee is 100 points: 50 points are awarded based on the evaluation of qualifications and 50 points based on the individual interview. The minimum passing score is set at 60/100.
The aptitude written test and the English written test do not contribute to the final score but are mandatory requirements for admission to the selection process. Passing both tests is compulsory in order to proceed in the selection. Candidates who do not pass one or both written tests may retake them in a subsequent round. Candidates who do not pass the oral interview will not be allowed to reapply in later rounds.
All selection phases will be conducted online via videoconference. The specific schedule will be communicated to candidates; in any case, tests will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Candidates must present a valid identification document (passport) at the time of the test.
Applicants deemed suitable and ranked within the number of available places, based on the overall score obtained, will be admitted to the Master’s Program.
In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with the higher score in the motivational interview; if the tie persists, priority will be given to the younger candidate.
The selection process will take place as follows:
• for Round 1 applicants: 16/02/2026 (written aptitude test and written English test) and 19-20/02/2026 (motivational interview);
• for Round 2 applicants: 30/03/2026 (written aptitude test and written English test) and 1-2/04/2026 (motivational interview);
• for Round 3 applicants: 18/05/2026 (written aptitude test and written English test) and 21-22/05/2026 (motivational interview);
• for Round 4 applicants: 13/07/2026 (written aptitude test and written English test) and 16-17/07/2026 (motivational interview).
