- Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, administrative headquarters in Bologna, pursuant to Decree no. 270 of 22 October 2004 issued by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, establishes, for the 2025–2026 academic year, the second-level University Master’s programme in “Clinical Endodontics.”
The Master’s programme is established upon the proposal of the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences and in collaboration with Fondazione Alma Mater.
The aim of the Master’s programme is to train the following professional profiles: endodontic dentist, paediatric endodontist, and endodontic surgeon. These are highly specialised professionals capable of carrying out endodontic activities within dental clinics and endodontic departments, in the field of dental surgery.
Candidates are graduates in Dentistry or in Medicine and Surgery with a specialisation in Odontostomatology and Dental Prosthetics, who consider endodontics to be their main professional activity and wish to acquire advanced specialisation in the fields of endodontics, paediatric endodontics, endodontic surgery, and implant surgery.
Through the Master’s programme, participants will acquire the following skills: management of complex endodontic cases, diagnostic skills, radiographic assessment, decision-making, ability to perform endodontic surgical procedures under an operating microscope, and ability to use rotary and reciprocating instruments. - Number of participants

- Admission qualifications
- Second / single cycle degree obtained under D.M. 270/04 or second / single cycle degree obtained under the laws previously in force (DM 509/99 and Old Regulations) in the following fields or classes: LM-41 Degree in Medicine, LM-46 Dentistry and Orthodontics;
- Second / single cycle degree obtained abroad deemed equivalent to those described in point above by the admission committee, for the purposes of admission to the Master; - Linguistic skills
- A basic knowledge of Italian language.
- Selection criteria
- - Selection based on qualifications and a motivational interview, with the possibility of an online interview.
- The maximum score awarded by the Selection Committee is 100 points. The minimum score required to be deemed eligible is 65/100.
- In the event of a tie, priority will be given to the candidate who obtained the highest score in the motivational interview. In the event of a further tie, priority will be given to the youngest candidate - Selection date
