The professional master programme is activated at the proposal of the Department of Legal Studies.
The professional master programme aims to: The master's programme aims to train professionals who are experts in the various existing legal traditions (ranging from the Western context to the Islamic, African, Asian and Latin American contexts) and in how the concept of the rule of law can be applied in different ways in relation to these traditions, with effects in various areas of law, primarily, but not exclusively, in the protection of human rights.
The aim of the master's programme is, therefore, to enrich the cultural and technical heritage of the various categories of participants covered in the different fields of knowledge studied, implementing sensitivity and knowledge of legal, historical and philosophical profiles and philosophical aspects of the systemic experiences considered, in order to generate a critical perspective for the renewal of conceptual and doctrinal frameworks, norms and practices, with a view to strengthening mechanisms of inclusion in order to enhance differences that are useful for understanding and managing conflicts.
The analysis conducted will be both theoretical and practical (case-based) in order to explore the differences between the various legal traditions as well as the parallels and asymmetries existing between the various experiences considered, from a dynamic, interdisciplinary and supranational integration perspective.
