Learning outcomes

Explaining the fundamental concpets of elementary number theory and get ready to study more advanced topics.

Course contents

Examples of diofanthine equations. Residue classes mod p. Quadratic reciprocity. Primes of the form x^2+ny^2. Binary quadratic forms. Introduction to algebraic number theory, algebraic integers.P-adic numbers.
