Luca Migliorini

Professor at the University of Bologna since 2001, most of his research is in the field of Algebraic Geometry. His interests deal in particular with the study of topological properties of algebraic varieties and maps. His most interesting research them right now is the investigation of cohomological properties of the HItchin fibration. He is author of about 40 papers, published on international journals. He's been visiting professor in many foreign Universitites and research Institutes such as the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, the Institute des Hautes Etudes Scientifique in Bures sur Yvette, the ICTP in Trieste and the Max Planck Institut fur Mathematik in Bonn.
