Learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students will have acquired the knowledge and understanding of the clinical aspects involved in the application of the diagnostic techniques of the various types of evoked potentials and other related methodologies.

Course contents

In the Clinical Evoked Potentials (EP) module, the main clinical applications of the following evoked potentials will be discussed:

  • Pattern Visual Evoked Potentials (Pattern VEPs)
  • Flash Visual Evoked Potentials (Flash VEPs)
  • Pattern Electroretinography (Pattern ERG) and Flash Electroretinography (Flash ERG)
  • Auditory Evoked Potentials
  • Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEPs)
  • Laser Evoked Potentials (LEPs)
  • Motor Evoked Potentials (MEPs)
