Learning outcomes
Through technical and practical activities, the student will acquire specific practical and applied skills related to the physiological and psychobiological aspects of sport.
Course contents
Principles of physiological and psychological testing of the athlete
Physiological assessment of the endurance athlete (e.g. VO2max, thresholds, running economy)
Neuromuscular assessment (strength, power, muscle fatigue)
Assessment of the psychobiological states that influence sports performance (e.g., mood state and pre-competition anxiety)
Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) and other scales to measure sensations experienced during physical exercise
Readings/Bibliography
Original articles and literature reviews uploaded on the "Virtuale" platform

Unified oral exam on the contents of the integrated course B8812 - PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOBIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF SPORT (B9460 + B8818)
Assessment criteria:

Excellent (28-30 e lode): Outstanding knowledge of all topics, exceptional ability to link theory with practical application, sophisticated critical analysis, and flawless use of specific scientific and technical terminology.

Good (24-27): Solid understanding of the core topics, good problem-solving skills in practical scenarios, clear communication with appropriate terminology, though lacking some minor details or deeper analytical nuance.

Sufficient (18-23): Basic understanding of the fundamental concepts. Practical application and critical thinking are limited to standard, rehearsed examples. Language is generally understandable but lacks precision or specific terminology.

Insufficient (<18): Severe gaps in foundational knowledge and inability to apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios.
To accomodate ERASMUS and other visiting students, exams can be done in English.
