Learning outcomes

At the end of the course you will have awareness and critical vision of the concepts and references in international literature regarding the legality, inclusion and planning of rules. The concept and models of cities will be addressed in detail. The skills acquired can be applied across all policy sectors of cultural planning and promotion of conscious citizenship.

Course contents

This course follows an interdisciplinary path that combines concepts from the sociology of law with heuristic perspectives drawn from studies on performativity and tools for analyzing public policies in the context of inclusive cities.

It uses the concept of "space" and the concept of "architecture" of inclusive legalities, directly connected to the planning of future cities.

The teaching activity is linked to the Blended International Program “Models of Citizenship and Rituals of Inclusive Legality. The Mediterranean as a New Paradigm” (BIP ID 2025-1-IT02-KA131-HED-000319834-8).

Students explore the experiences of cities along the Mediterranean, focusing on projects that have tried to regenerate or create spaces and architecture where the 'rituals' of social life are approached with an eye toward inclusivity and respect/coexistence of different cultures.

The course includes contributions from both national and international experts.
