Learning outcomes
Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of approaches to self-care and care for others, and understanding of personal responsibility in medical education.
Applying Knowledge and Understanding: Analyze the impact of differences in value systems and moral judgment processes on well-being during medical training; apply interprofessional collaboration in different healthcare settings.
Making Judgements: Critically evaluate the role of self-awareness in moral and professional cognition in clinical decision-making and in healthcare professionals’ well-being.
Communication Skills: Participate in group discussions on value systems and moral judgment processes, and on responsibility in applying moral cognition within interprofessional contexts.

Motivation and decision-making processes in medical education.
Theoretical models and measurement of psychological well-being.
The role of interindividual differences in self-regulation strategies and the definition of personal goals.
The role of interprofessional collaboration in promoting well-being and motivation

During the course, scientific articles will be recommended. The slides presented in class will be available on the Virtuale platform.

Lectures and practical activities (role-play, reflective writing, and critical discussion of scientific articles).
Assessment methods
The assessment for Module 1 of General Psychology consists of a quiz made up of 5 true-or-false questions.
Overall, across the three modules of the Elective Course, a total of 15 questions are administered (5 for each module). Each correct answer is worth 1 point, and each incorrect or unanswered question is worth 0 points.
Eligibility (pass) is achieved with a score of 12 points or higher. The final evaluation (pass/fail) is overall and refers to the entire Elective Course.
