Teaching methods

The lessons will be mainly laboratory-based (guided analysis of texts in class, discussion and revision of the writing and analysis activities required during the seminar)

Assessment methods

The course evaluation consists of active participation in lectures (20%), evaluation of course work (30%), and the final essay (50%).

The final essay will focus on the analysis of texts freely chosen by the student according to the methods developed during the course.

The topic of the essay must be agreed with the instructor.

The essay's evaluation will take into account the appropriateness of the analysis and the quality of the writing (clarity, precision, and editorial care).

Those who do not attend classes are requested to agree on the program and exam with the teacher.

Students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) or with disabilities that can affect their ability to attend courses are invited to contact the University service for students with disabilities and SLD at the earliest opportunity -- ideally before the start of the course: https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students. The University service will suggest possible adjustments to the course work and/or exam, which must then be submitted to the course leader so they can assess their feasibility, in line with the learning objectives of the course. Please note that adjustments to the exam must be requested at least two weeks in advance.
