Learning outcomes

To achieve basic knowledge on the role of gut microbiota in adult human health and disease:, in particular, to understand the composition, diversity, and function of the human gut microbiota, and evaluate its impact on gastrointestinal and systemic health. To diagnose and manage gastrointestinal diseases influenced by microbiota dysbiosis, such as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and Clostridium difficile infection, using evidence-based diagnostic tools and interventions.
