Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to recall and apply key concepts in probability and statistics that serve as prerequisites for graduate study in econometrics and statistics.

  • Probability and random variables
  • Basics of inferential statistics
  • Estimation and hypothesis testing
  • Linear regression model

For LMAEM students: the topics covered in this course serve as prerequisites for subsequent degree courses, where they will be assumed as known.

Assessment methods
