Seminar Topic

THIRTY YEARS LATER (1996/2026).
AMELIA ROSSELLI AND THE “TRASFORMATI INCANTI

OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

This year the Seminar will be entirely dedicated to the figure and work of the trilingual poet and musicologist Amelia Rosselli (1930–1996). In each of the seven lectures, subject specialists will illustrate a different aspect of the transdisciplinary vocation of her lyrical and essayistic writing.
In the first session of the Seminar's final conference, organized in collaboration with the Biblioteca Italiana delle Donne, scholars from various backgrounds will examine Amelia Rosselli's exemplarily transgressive strategy of female self-representation, placing it within the broader theoretical framework of the
"(counter-)canon" of women in poetry. This will be followed by a session featuring readings by contemporary poets who have experienced Amelia Rosselli's poetic experience, testifying to her paradigmatic role well beyond the threshold of the new millennium.

Please note

Attendance at the first preparatory meeting is recommended, where detailed information about the seminar structure and the minutes will be provided. Further information will be provided at the beginning of each meeting, by email (by writing to Dr. Marilina Ciaco), or at the office hours.

Dates, locations and duration of the meetings may undergo changes, which will be communicated in time in the News section of my Unibo web page.
