Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student has the basic knowledge related to the methodological, didactic-organizational and relational aspects that characterize the areas of motor prevention in childhood and adulthood in different application areas: educational, sports, outdoor life. In particular, the student is able to: Know different preventive strategies in reference to safety, health and well-being, related to problems arising in different age groups and contexts. - To know the priority objectives of prevention aimed at the developmental age with regard to educational, sports and outdoor activities. - To know the basic elements of posture and postural control in different age groups. - Choose suitable methods and content with respect to data or contingent preventive objectives. - To modulate the activities, in the various age groups, in relation to the present preventive problems. - Organize activities in accordance with basic preventive standards.He knows the didactic techniques and the tools for the management of motor activity, physical activity, physical exercise, with people who require particular adaptations in reference to the presence of deficits related to particular conditions or age. - He knows various types of deficit: physical, intellectual and relational, sensory. In particular, the student, evaluating the importance, acquires a greater level of emotional awareness, a fundamental aspect in the management of the relational dynamics with people with disabilities. - He is familiar with the various methodologies related to adapted activity in various contexts of life: work, home, leisure, sports. - He is familiar with the objectives, content, basic methodologies, programming and evaluation of activities adapted in different contexts and with different disabilities. - He knows the delicate relational strategies with respect to people with deficits of various kinds. - He is familiar with the protocols for the design, conduct and management of motor activity, physical activity and physical exercise adapted.
Course contents
Preventive Motor Activity. The various levels of prevention and their objectives. Basic knowledge of biomechanics and their application in prevention (axis/plane relationship and development of movement; body levers; weight action on body segments; breakdown of muscle strength and movement). Prevention concepts in everyday life in different environments: home, work, free time.
Posture and its multidisciplinary construct. Protocols of postural observation on the various planes and observation of the foot. Visual apparatus and posture. Stomatognatic apparatus and posture. Postural chains and overall postural reprogramming de-compensated (examples of protocols). Tools in postural analysis.
Prevention in sport. The concept of psycho-physical prevention. The strengthening of the spine, shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle in the sportsman. Prevention in training and in the use of artificial overloads (the example of squat). Adolescent phase and characterization of the organization and training load (sensitive and critical phases). Long-term start-up in sport and specialization.
Adapted motor activity. Introduction to disability (physical, intellectual, relational and sensory). Analysis of some types of disabilities (autism spectrum, mental retardation, physical disability, down syndrome). Concept of adapted activity. Inclusion in school and sport.
Paralympic sports (blind, paraplegic, amputees). Team sports (sittinig volleyball, wheelchair basketball, goalball, torball, amputated football). Teaching methods
For the academic year 2024-2025, teaching will focus on the following strategies:

- Presentation and comparison of the results of cooperative activities.
Assessment methods
The final evaluation will be carried out through the following checks:
- written test, calibrated to twenty-seven, based on 30 closed-ended questions. 1 point for each correct answer, -0,33 points for each wrong answer, 0 points for unanswered questions.
- evaluation of the laboratory with a score of up to 2 points.
- Evaluation of group work with a score of up to 2 points.
The scores of the three tests will be added up to reach the final evaluation (27+2+2 = 31/30 =30L).
