Learning outcomes

The content of the laboratories varies from year to year, but is aimed at giving the student a professionalizing competence on the various fields of the course of study.

Course contents

The laboratory Mind and Interaction Systems Mind - Body, Meaning, and Contexts explores cognition as a situated and embodied process emerging from the interaction between individuals, bodies, environments, and social and technological systems.

Particular attention will be devoted to the role of context in shaping meaning and action, examining how objects, physical and digital environments, cultural practices, and artificial intelligence systems influence perception, decision making, and behavior.

Through the discussion of experimental studies and laboratory activities, students will design simple research protocols aimed at investigating human interaction with artifacts, digital environments, and intelligent systems.

The complete reference bibliography will be provided at the first meeting.

The professor will provide useful materials during the lectures.

Teaching methods

Lectures using power point presentations, practical exercises, group discussions and group work.

Assessment methods

Essays, sharing of group work through oral presentations, supported by PowerPoint.

Attendance is mandatory.

Attendance at least 12/15 lessons.

Teaching tools

Slides, audiovisual materials, papers.

Participation in experimental sessions for in-depth exploration of consolidated and new paradigms.
