Learning outcomes
This course aims to provide a methodology for understanding contemporary artworks, with particular attention to the material aspects of the objects and their possible functions in their original historical, religious or cultural contexts. Upon completion of the course, students will acquire the tools to identify the cultural origin of an object, situate it within its historical context, and will recognize issues related to contemporary conditions.
