Learning outcomes
This module cultivates creative and innovative thinking. Content includes brainstorming techniques, design thinking, problem-solving methodologies, intellectual property awareness, and pitching innovative ideas.
Course contents
The aim of this module is to show the importance of creativity and innovation as essential skills for achieving new products and alternative or new industrial processes in a competitive global market.The students at the end of the module students will be trained to think creatively, exploiting new ideas, or finding new uses for old ideas, which may add social or economic value.
Each workshop will focus on a case study. Students will present examples of chemical substances, their use, risks and alternatives. Creative thinking will be encouraged for the discussion of each case study.

Theoretical classes where main concepts are introduced, as well as tutorial classes with discussion of case-study examples.
Practical training sessions organized in different times along the academic year.
Assessment methods
ChIRS grades scale goes from 1 to 100, pass grade is
40, and will be translated into ECTS and different University scales.
Active participation in class and group accounts for 50% of the grade.
Quality of interventions and projects prepared during the module accounts for 50%.
