Learning outcomes
Through the practical activities, students will acquire the specific practical and applied competencies required for adapted sport and sport for people with disabilities.
Students will also develop practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of interpersonal relationships as shaped by the internal and external logic of different motor practices. This will enable them to critically examine the relationship between personal experiences and the socio-relational meanings that emerge through participation in sport and motor activities.
Course contents
The course provides practical and experiential learning opportunities designed to enable students to directly explore the educational and inclusive value of motor and sport activities, with particular reference to adapted sport, sport for people with disabilities, and Outdoor Education practices.
Through motor games, cooperative activities, adapted sports, outdoor experiences and educational planning activities, students will be encouraged to observe and analyse the relationships between the characteristics of motor practices, participants' needs and inclusive processes, developing the competencies required to design educational interventions that are accessible, participatory and meaningful.
Particular attention will be devoted to reflecting upon and critically processing the experiences undertaken, exploring the relationships between motor conduct, the internal and external logic of motor practices, personal development, inclusion and interpersonal dynamics. Practical activities will be continuously integrated with the main theoretical principles addressed in the course Sport Education and Motor Praxeology.

Teaching methods
The course is mainly based on practical and experiential learning activities, designed to promote students' active and informed participation while fostering connections between direct experience, pedagogical reflection and educational planning.
Activities will include motor games, adapted sports, cooperative learning activities, Outdoor Education experiences, practical workshops and educational planning tasks focused on the design of inclusive interventions. Alongside direct experience, students will engage in observation, whole-class discussions, guided reflection, and both individual and collaborative processing of their experiences, with the aim of developing critical thinking, reflective skills and educational planning competencies.
Practical activities will be continuously integrated with the main theoretical principles addressed in the course Sport Education and Motor Praxeology, encouraging students to transfer the competencies acquired to a variety of educational and sport settings.
Assessment methods
Assessment is closely integrated with the theoretical module Sport Education and Motor Praxeology, of which this practical module represents the natural experiential complement.
Assessment of the practical activities will contribute to the final Project Work, evaluating students' ability to connect the theoretical principles addressed in the course with the design, implementation and critical analysis of inclusive motor activities, adapted sport and Outdoor Education.
Assessment will take into account students' active participation in practical activities, their ability to observe and critically analyse the experiences undertaken, their autonomy in educational planning, the quality of their reflective work, and their ability to integrate the principles of Motor Praxeology into the design of inclusive educational experiences.
Regarding assessment, the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence tools is permitted only for limited, declared and non-substantial support activities (e.g. summarising or rephrasing texts). Substantial use of AI in producing assessment work is not permitted, and all submitted work must represent the student's own original contribution.
Teaching tools
Teaching activities will be supported through the University of Bologna's Virtuale online learning platform, where students will find study materials, practical worksheets, lecture presentations, scientific papers, additional readings, bibliographical references and other learning resources supporting both preparation and critical reflection on the practical activities.
Throughout the course, students will also make use of equipment and materials suitable for adapted physical activities, adapted sport, and Outdoor Education experiences, together with observation and documentation tools, videos, multimedia resources and examples of educational and sport-related good practices.
Generative Artificial Intelligence tools may be used as a support for individual study, provided they are employed critically, responsibly and transparently, for example to summarise course contents, reformulate concepts, conduct preliminary literature searches or support self-assessment.
Teaching materials will be progressively updated throughout the course in response to students' interests, developments in current scientific debate, and recent research in the fields of adapted sport, Sport Pedagogy, Motor Praxeology and Outdoor Education.
