Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at providing the student with the ability to identify the most appropriate geomatic methodology to carry out technical and precision surveys for the purposes of representation and monitoring of phenomena (e.g. landslides, subsidence, structural problems, etc.). It is intended to provide advanced knowledge relating to geomatic survey techniques (GNSS_NRTK; aerial and terrestrial laser scanning for 3D surveys at a territorial scale or of structures/infrastructures, drones and Mobile Mapping Systems) both from the point of view of the necessary instrumentation and data processing. Statistical issues will be addressed for the design of monitoring systems and data processing. A part of the course will focus on the use of modern topographic instruments (GNSS - Total Station - Laser Scanner) with laboratory and calculation exercises. Free calculation tools will be provided for the analysis of data acquired in the field.
