Learning outcomes

At the end of their practical learning, students will be able: - to plan and implement practices and actions oriented to intervention strategies in order to deal with disease situations, promoting and coordinating the resources already in place; - to acquire organizational, planning and management skills of the work performed within the Service, including in relation to their rules and deontology; - to develop comunication skills; - to relate with the others in a professional setting and to work in multidisciplinary equipe situations; - to get the idea of work opportunities connected to social service and the professional and organizational culture associated with it.

Course contents

A meeting with students will be organized during the first semester to provide full details regarding the internship. The internship component of the Master's Degree in Social Work is designed to prepare students for management and coordination roles, facilitated by a tutor who is a coordinating social worker. Furthermore, the internship aims to familiarize students with various organizational models and help them develop the contextual analysis skills required for social planning. Finally, the internship seeks to equip students with skills related to service evaluation and accreditation processes.

Assessment methods

The outcome of the Internship and its evaluation will be determined by the Internship Commission on the basis of:
- A student's report on the activity carried out;
- A report of the Supervisor of the internship to be presented to the Tutor of the University at least 20 days before the end of the Internship

On the day the grades are officially recorded, you must be present for the roll call.
