Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student: - possesses a framework of developmental psychology with reference to mental distress; - is able to analyze the forms of mental distress.

Course contents

The course aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of the main theoretical models of developmental psychology, with particular attention to the processes that promote or hinder psychological well-being throughout the lifespan. The risk and protective factors associated with mental health distress in developmental age will be explored, analyzing the most recent scientific evidence and strategies for mental health prevention and promotion.

The exam will be oral, covering the content covered in class, which will be made available to everyone on the virtual platform, and the texts indicated.

Teaching tools

Slides and videos will be used during lectures. The slides will be made available to students on the Virtual University web platform after completing a lecture topic.
