Academic Year 2026/2027

  • Teaching Mode: In-person learning (entirely or partially)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Innovation and Organization of Culture and the Arts (cod. 6795)

Learning outcomes

The student is expected to learn tools and methods to manage visual arts organizations. In particular, the student is expected to: - Understand the role of public sector in increasing the value of cultural heritage and the arts - Learn more about international arts markets - Think about contemporary art as a way of local development - Create and develop innovative visual arts projects.

Course contents

The course offers the chance to work closely with the team at a contemporary art studio active both nationally and internationally, taking part in the development and realisation of one of the best-known and most highly regarded projects by the duo Antonello Ghezzi — which has already been presented in various countries and contexts around the world.

Each year, the project is revisited, improved and enriched: not only in terms of the final result, but above all in the experience it offers students, who have the opportunity to experience the creative process from the perspective of a contemporary artist — from conceptual design right through to the public opening.

Participants will explore a wide range of skills related to the creation of a site-specific exhibition: design, production of installations, curation, communication, sponsorship and exhibition design — developing their own creative thinking and acquiring practical skills in the construction of a collaborative work.

The programme is divided into five stages:

Exhibition design — development of the concept and curatorial vision
Production — creation and physical realisation of the artworks
Installation — physical set-up of the exhibition space
Communication and promotion — communication strategy, press office and social media
Opening — opening of the exhibition to the public
