Readings/Bibliography
Scientific papers and other course materials will be made available during the course and at "Virtuale". During the course, students are required to regularly consult the “Virtuale” platform and download the materials indicated for study and activity in the classroom and for the examination.
Non-attending students will found the articles for the exam (20 scientific articles) on the "Viruale Unibo", page of the courseTeaching methods
For each topic covered in the course, the theoretical part will be presented. Students will then be expected to apply, through small-group work, the acquired knowledge to: a) a paper on a specific content of the course; b) the design of an intervention aimed at improving occupational well-being in a specific work and organizational context.
Specifically:
- Weekly: Application of acquired knowledge to a specific content and to a work and organizational context (small-group works).
- At the end of the course, groups must deliver two papers, describing the selected content of the course and the intervention in the specific work and organizational context.
The course is designed to be very interactive, based on students’ active participation. Therefore, students are requested to attend systematically to all the lectures. Exchange students, aiming to choose this course for their learning agreement, should carefully consider, in their own interest, that they are required to attend the full course.
PLEASE NOTE: Basic knowledge of Work Psychology is required to adequately take this course
Assessment methods
The grading scale is from 0 to 30, 18 being the minimum passing grade.
ATTENDING STUDENTS (at least 80% attendance)
The final assessment is based on:
- A small-group project on work stress prevention. This will give 0-10 points
- A small-group project on one of the course's contents. This will give 0-10 points
- An “individual reflection paper” on the work done in the module. This will give 0-10 points
ATTENDING STUDENTS with <80%
Attendance at least 80% of the course hours is mandatory. Students who fail to meet 80% attendance requirements will be required to study two scientific articles for each missed lesson and take an oral exam to assess their learning.
NON_ATTENDING STUDENTS (no participation to in class small-group pojects): oral exam evaluating the understanding of the articles provided and based on the following evaluation criteria: knowledge of the articles’ content, ability to discuss them critically, and capacity to link the contents of the articles
Students with learning disorders and\or temporary or permanent disabilities: please, contact the office responsible ( [https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students] ) as soon as possible so that they can propose acceptable adjustments. The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, taking into account the teaching objectives.
