Teaching methods
Teaching activities will take place in the Degree Programme Skills Laboratory.
Students will be divided into small working groups, with a maximum of 17–18 students per group.
The teaching methodology is based on the practical simulation of clinical procedures updated according to the principles of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP).
Throughout the activities, students will be supported and supervised by experienced nurses and academic coordinators during the performance of the procedures.
Each session will be preceded by a briefing, aimed at introducing the objectives and operational aspects of the activities, and followed by a debriefing, designed to encourage critical reflection and reinforce the general principles underlying the procedures performed
Assessment methods
Access to the final assessment is conditional upon attendance of 100% of the scheduled laboratory hours.
The examination will consist of the practical simulation of two procedures and the description of the materials used.
Successful completion of the examination, together with participation in and successful completion of the required seminars, will result in the awarding of a final pass/fail assessment.
Please note that passing the laboratory examination is a mandatory prerequisite for admission to Clinical Placement 1 (Internship 1).
Students with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), temporary or permanent disabilities: students are encouraged to contact the relevant University Office in a timely manner (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/it). The Office will propose any appropriate accommodations for eligible students. Such accommodations must be submitted to the course instructor for approval at least 15 days in advance. The instructor will evaluate their suitability, taking into account the intended learning outcomes of the course.
Teaching tools
In order to reinforce and deepen basic clinical aspects of care, an OPEN LAB session is planned at the end of the laboratory in the presence of expert tutors and teaching coordinators
