Learning outcomes

Knowledge of the main therapeutic approaches for the most common hematologic diseases at initial diagnosis and at relapse. Ability to assess the patient and understand the therapeutic algorithm. Development of independent clinical judgment regarding the treatment pathway and effective communication of the care plan.

Course contents

Case-based discussion of at least four relevant clinical cases, following the therapeutic pathway from diagnosis to treatment in patients with lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma, and other hematologic disorders.

Teaching methods

Interactive and participatory discussion of clinical cases.

Useful supporting materials include a hematology and pathology textbook or digital tools (PC/tablet/smartphone) available to the student.

Assessment methods

Active participation in the discussion in at least 75% of the sessions.
