Teaching methods

During the lessons, the topics planned for the course will be presented and developed, allowing time for students' questions and fostering an in-depth discussion on the addressed issues.

Assessment methods

The assessment of learning takes place through a final exam that verifies the acquisition of the expected knowledge through an oral examination. This test aims to evaluate the ability to recognize and discuss the main analytical techniques used in laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases, as well as to have acquired the essential knowledge for interpreting laboratory results.

Students with learning disorders and temporary or permanent disabilities are invited to contact the dedicated office (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/it/per-studenti) as soon as possible in order to agree on the appropriate compensatory measures. The request must be submitted 15 days before the exam date to the teacher, who will assess the appropriateness of the measures taking into account the educational objectives.

Teaching tools

The slides, in pdf format, will be made available by the teacher and uploaded before the lessons, in the appropriate virtual spaces.
