Learning outcomes

The student, at the end of the course, will know the various types of deficits: physical, intellectual and relational, and sensory. They will also learn the teaching techniques and tools for managing motor activities with people in a disability situation. In particular, the student, evaluating its importance, will acquire a greater level of emotional awareness, a fundamental aspect in managing relational dynamics with people with disabilities. The student will learn the different communication techniques aimed at managing activities, also through the module's structure, which includes a theoretical intervention part to be carried out in the classroom and a practical intervention part to be carried out in the gym. Furthermore, the student will know and acquire:

  • Unstructured activities: objectives, planning and programming, method for conducting unstructured situations, contents, and evaluation.

  • Semi-structured activities: objectives, planning and programming, method for conducting semi-structured situations, contents, and evaluation.

  • The psychomotor approach.

  • Socio-affective empowerment as a tool to provide the motivation to be promoters of one's own well-being.

  • ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health), the concept of adaptation, the centrality of the person, the concept of teaching and learning, and executive functions.

  • Physical disability

  • Sensory disability

  • Intellectual and relational disability

  • Behavioral disorders

  • Functional and sports classification

  • Techniques for managing heterogeneous groups
