Learning outcomes
Through the technical practical activities, the student will acquire the specific practical and application skills related to human kinesiology.
Course contents
Practical exercises aim to integrate theoretical knowledge. Specifically, they focus on:
•Functional anatomy: The main muscle groups, joints, joint levers, and their planes and axes of motion are analyzed;
•Principles of biomechanics of movement, which allow for the interpretation of the physical laws underlying motor activity. Study of the biomechanical role of joints during specific movements such as squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, etc. Practical application of biomechanical laws and the relationship between joint levers.
•Analysis of posture and movements in relation to reference planes and axes, positional terms, movement terms, and muscle properties.
Readings/Bibliography
PDFs of the slides used during the theory lectures that will also include the topics covered during the tutorials. Scientific papers.
Teaching methods
The course is divided into a theoretical and a practical component.
The theoretical component will be conducted in the classroom with workshops in pairs or small groups.
The practical component will be conducted in the gym to develop technical skills, observational abilities, and critical thinking.
Case studies: identification of execution errors and corrective proposals.
Practical case studies and role-playing among students.
In view of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires all students to carry out Modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode [https://www.unibo.it/it/servizi-e-opportunita/salute-e-assistenza/salute-e-sicurezza/sicurezza-e-salute-nei-luoghi-di-studio-e-tirocinio] and participate in Module 3 of specific training on safety and health in the workplace. Directions on dates and mode of attendance of Module 3 can be found in the appropriate section of the course of study website
Assessment methods
The final exam will be integrated with the theoretical module of the course and will consist of a written test to obtain a pass mark, one for the practical part, and an oral test for the theoretical module, in order to verify the student's overall level of preparation.
