Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student has acquired a basic knowledge of the main cardiological syndromes and their mutual interactions with dental procedures. In particular, the student is able to: know the risk of stomatological procedures in various cardiovascular diseases; know the cardiological pathologies that require prophylaxis for infective endocarditis; know the protocols for managing dental procedures in patients treated with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs; know the symptoms and signs of heart failure; know the symptoms and signs of coronary syndromes; know the basic procedures of cardio-respiratory resuscitation."
