93579 - Workshop on Numbers and Relationship. Reflections and Analysis of Teaching Activities (G.G)

Academic Year 2025/2026

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Primary Teacher Education (cod. 5711)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the laboratory, the students: - know how to apply what was covered in the integrated course within a simulated learning environment; - know how to reflect critically with peers on the proposed topics.

Course contents

The mathematics laboratory is not only a physical place but it is a learning environment in which we discuss, design, compare, and find strategies together to solve problems.

During the meetings, the elements that distinguish an exercise from a problem will be captured through examples.

In the first, rules are applied in the second, knowledge is built.

The various non-standard problems addressed to both primary and infant schools, together with the examination of pupils' protocols, will allow us to direct our attention to the concept of the good problem, a question addressed in numerous studies in Mathematics Education.

In this context, it will be easy to think of error as an opportunity to reflect on.
