Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student will have knowledge of the epistemological aspects of nursing, the main models and theories of care, as well as the disciplinary tools and methods of application. They will be familiar with the evolution of the professionalization process, the ethical, deontological, and legislative aspects relevant to professional practice, and the purpose and organization of the National Health System.

Order of Nurses: purpose and structure, ethical and deontological principles, nursing responsibilities, Code of Ethics;

Metaparadigm of nursing. Analysis and main contents of some theoretical models: V. Henderson, M. Gordon, L.J. Carpenito; D. Orem.

Nursing process, Nursing taxonomies;

Purpose and characteristics of nursing documentation, nursing record, integrated records, guidelines, protocols, procedures.
