Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide the student with the essential elements for the general theoretical and practical knowledge of primary and secondary diseases involving, from a medical point of view, the respiratory system with the aim of providing:
- synthetic and simplified elements in relation to the possible methods of functional exploration and diagnostic approach useful in acute and chronic respiratory failure;
-general elements for a correct therapeutic approach in the problems involved in patients in respiratory failure.
At the end of the course the student will know the basics of the main pathologies of pneumological interest in their chronic phase and of the instrumental and clinical investigations necessary for their diagnosis and hints of therapy. Thanks also to the participation in planned internships and single-thematic elective courses, at the end of the course the student has the theoretical-practical bases for the recognition of the type of pathology by evaluating the symptoms, clinical signs, laboratory and instrumental examinations.
