Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student is able to:

  • Introduce themselves appropriately to the patient;
  • Understand the activities of the territorial and hospital team operators;
  • Conduct an interview with a psychiatric patient using techniques to gather information (open-ended questions, closed-ended questions, prompts, etc.);
  • Identify the main psychiatric disorders;
  • Establish a specific rapport with the patient for various psychiatric disorders;
  • Be knowledgeable about different classes of psychotropic medications;
  • Perform a nursing psychiatric intervention in emergency situations.
