Course contents
Elective internships are available in rehabilitation facilities or in the homes of those receiving care, with the aim of acquiring all the skills required by the educational objectives.
Given the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, attendance at this training activity requires all students to complete Modules 1 and 2 via e-learning and participate in the third module (8 hours) of specific training on health and safety in the study/internship environment.
Students with learning disabilities and temporary or permanent disabilities are encouraged to contact the dedicated office (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/it/per-studenti) as soon as possible to discuss appropriate compensatory measures. The request must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the instructor, who will evaluate the adequacy of the measures, taking into account the educational objectives.
Readings/Bibliography
The texts used by teachers during the lectures related to the teaching plan are suggested, as well as any teaching material used in the internship locations.
Teaching methods
Each internship is preceded by a briefing, in which the general and specific objectives are shared, transcribed in a Contract, diversified for each reality.
The internship includes a period of coaching with an internship tutor in a 1: 1 ratio
At the end of the internship, both in the first and in the second semester, debriefings are organized according to the methodology of reflective learning in which experiences are shared in small equal groups both from a professional and personal point of view with the teacher as supervisor and guide.
At the end of the group work, the students meet in class to share with everyone what emerged from the single group.
Assessment methods
At the end of the elective internship, the grade indicated in the internship contract is recorded.
The student must, in any case, pass all internship experiences scheduled for the academic year.
Teaching tools
Internship contract. The internship is carried out by pairing the student with a suitably trained clinical tutor physiotherapist, in accordance with the current teaching regulations (Ministerial Decree 270/04).
