Learning outcomes

At the end of the internship the student get knowledge and ability to apply indipendently the process of physiotherapy. He's able to use clinical reasoning to provide a physiotherapy intervention referred to international guide line and the best practice available. He realizes his professional activities in order to improve health in a single subject or in a more large population. He's able to assess the efficacy of his intervention, identifying problems and participating to their solutions. He respects the different people, their cultures, religions, etc., and promotes rights os the single citizen and of the whole people. It takes care of relational and emotional aspects with all subjects, and maintains a creative behaviour reflecting on its proper clinical activities.

Course contents

Internship 3 is carried out in specialized settings in all areas of rehabilitation/physiotherapeutic interest: orthopedics, neurology, community and home care, amputation outcomes, neonatology, spinal cord injury outcomes, critical care, cardiothoracic-vascular and/or abdominal surgery outcomes, transplantology.

Teaching methods

Each internship is preceded by a briefing, which discusses the general and specific objectives outlined in each individual Internship Agreement, which varies for each clinical setting.

The internship includes a period of mentoring with a tutor/internship guide who provides individual guidance to the student.

At the end of both the first and second semesters, debriefing sessions are scheduled to share experiences and insights.

Assessment methods

Assessment of the achievement of the specific objectives set out in each training contract during the clinical internship, of the deliverables produced, and suitability for the core values.

At the end of the is scheduled a practical examination

Training contract, Internship Regulations, simulations, team meetings, internship briefings and debriefings.

In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires all students to carry out modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode and participation in the third module of specific training on safety and health in the places of study / internship.
